Brooks, Alberta has moved from a primarily white conservative town to being one of diverse communities in Canada. The change is largely due to the wave of immigrants and refugees who have sought work at the Lakeside Packers slaughterhouse. As the slaughterhouse endures its first-ever strike, the documentary shows how the community adapts to the change it causes to their lives.
