Julien Christian Lutz, better known as Director X, is a filmmaker, artist, writer, and one of the world’s most iconic music video directors. Although he has made music videos with everyone from Drake to Ariana Grande to Kendrick Lamar to Justin Bieber to DMX, his visionary eye spans film, television and installations. Lutz is the co-founder of Fela, a Black-owned production company, and the founder Operation Prefrontal Cortex, an initiative created to reduce Toronto’s gun violence through mindfulness and meditation.
