Francesca O. Ekwuyasi is best known as a writer and multidisciplinary artist. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and now residing in Canada, her debut novel, Butter Honey Pig Bread was a finalist for several awards and was long listed for the prestigious Scotiabank Giller Prize. In 2020, she was one of four filmmakers to take part in the Being Black in Halifax series of documentary short films.
