Hubert Davis is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, editor, and worker. His debut documentary short Hardwood was nominated for an Academy Award for Documentary Short Subject and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Cultural and Artistic Programming. In 2022, his documentary Black Ice, which explored systemic racism in hockey, won the People’s Choice Award for Documentary at the Toronto International Film Festival.
