Jephté Bastien is a Haitian born-Canadian filmmaker, editor, and writer whose works span both narrative and documentary. In 2011, Bastien won the John Dunning Best First Feature Film Award, then known as the Claude Jutra Award, at the 31s Genie Awards (now called the Canadian Screen Awards) for his film Exit 67 (Sortie 67).
