Karimah Zakia Issa is an award-winning director, writer and photographer who spans film, music videos and commercials. Their work frequently explores queer identity through a Black female lens. Issa’s short film Scaring Women at Night was a nominee for the IMDBPro Short Cuts Award for Best Canadian Film at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
