Lu Asfaha is a writer, editor, and director. Her genre-bending works explore identity, belonging, and the way things fall apart. Asfaha was a resident of the CFC’s 2022 Norman Jewison Film Program Director’s Lab. Asfaha is the founder of Defar Media which aims to tell fantasy and horror stories from a Black female lens.
