After suffering a leg injury, many thought the promising career of track and field star Harry Jerome was over. However, Jerome never counted himself out. Aided by legendary coach Bill Bowerman, the young athlete pulled off the “greatest comeback in track and field history.” The film tracks Jerome’s life from his time in North Vancouver to his three Olympics and more. Overcoming several obstacles along the way, including racial prejudice and times of political turbulence, Jerome was instrumental in changing the Canadian sports landscape.
