Sonya Mwambu is an experimental filmmaker and editor based in Toronto. Their work explores the intersection of identity, race, language, culture and more through experimental films. Mwambu served as one of the Art Gallery of Ontario X Royal Bank of Canada Artist-in-Residence in 2021.
