The documentary focuses on the residents of Toronto’s Villaways neighbourhood, consisting predominantly of community housing, as they face imposed relocation. Through the eyes of 12-year-old Francine Valentine, who uses the local music program to express herself, the film provides an intimate portrait of the impact displacement and gentrification has on a community whose spirits refuse to be broken.
